favicon.ico is not getting updated for my website after replacing the old one with a new file

I have a web application running on my local apache2 server. I have deleted the old favicon.ico and replaced it with a new one, but still my website is displaying the old favicon file. I have restarted the server and my machine too but no luck. How to resolve this? Thanks in advance!
